This Fair Trade organic coffee is from a group of small farmers in Papua New Guinea. Based in the Chuave District of Papua New Guinea's Eastern Highlands, the Keto Tapasi Progress Association is a unique organization of around 375 "smallholder" coffee growers from 18 communities and villages. More like gardens than farms, crop sizes from each member range from a few coffee trees to a few hundred. Despite the vast differences in both culture and language between their heritage groups, the growers have worked together since 2008, receiving Fair Trade certification in 2011 and organic certification in 2014.
We're thrilled to offer this wonderful coffee, rich with tropical, herbal notes and a brown sugar sweetness that celebrates the spirit of collaboration and unity.
