When asked to describe our latest washed Ethiopian coffee, Rob, our head roaster, said he was so busy enjoying drinking this single origin on a daily basis that he hadn’t had time to put what made it so special into words. He eventually summed up his feelings in a succinct fashion: “It makes a real groovy cup.”
If we had to elaborate, we might also add: it’s makes a real “fruity” cup as well! It’s floral but not overpowering in its citrusy flavors. The lighter roast profile elicits a spicier element than you typically find in this kind of coffee as well. The delicate balance of savory and spicy blew our team away.
