This Peruvian coffee from the comité of Gallito de las Rocas is grown in a remote location, which can make getting it out into the world unusually difficult. But the quality is worth the extra effort.
Typically, exporters in Peru seek quantity over quality, which leaves producers little chance to focus on expanding their education and evolving their processing methods while also maintaining a living.
This is where Origin Coffee Lab decided to take a new path. They began to seek out producers that had potential and invested in them by cupping lots individually and paying premiums based on quality, while also sharing their educational resources and technical assistance through their Solidario program.
The results speak for themselves! Our team says it’s the most complex coffee from Peru they have ever had, loving notes of dried mango and toasted almonds.
Grab a bag today and see how taking new paths and stepping out of the ordinary can lead to extraordinary coffee.
