We are sharing this coffee with you through our relationship with TG-LAB, a coffee research and development center located in Guatemala City. TG-LAB's main focus is to establish relationships with coffee producers around Guatemala that are willing to refine their farming practice toward improving quality and, ultimately, raising the level of specialty coffee in the country. 

 By connecting with TG-LAB, we discovered this coffee from Cooperative de Desarrollo Integral San Antonio Huista. This cooperative has been in operation since the 1960's, but it now has seen new developments with a restructured organization and established organic certification. In 2011, the cooperative partnered with TG-LAB to improve crop quality and find new markets. The cooperative's 54 producers employ sustainable environmental practices to preserve a healthy ecosystem on their properties by maintaining shade trees, controlling erosion, and diversifying the farm with honey production.
