Build Day with Habitat for Humanity of Durham!

Earlier this month, a JVG crew of ten headed out to Maple Drive to help build a house with Habitat for Humanity of Durham! We’ve been working with them since 2009, and wanted to build upon our partnership by spending an afternoon seeing what they do on site each day. Part of the Habitat for Humanity mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. It did just that for our group as it was a rewarding experience to work together and give back to our local community. It was great to see how the donations we’ve made over the years - through your help! - ultimately come together. The houses we worked on were almost finished, remodeled with new fixtures, railings, countertops, and they looked fantastic. It was astounding to think that a majority of the work was done by volunteers, and we couldn’t have felt more proud to help in a small way that day. Thank you to Sandy, Heather, and Jeff who made it all seamlessly come together for our crew. Whether you choose to volunteer your time, donate goods, or support a cause through various outlets, we all hope you feel the reward in being part of a community and giving back this season and every season.
